On the first Thursday of every month, we partner with Medfield Public Library to host a sci-fi book club.

The Mercy of Gods, 2024

The first book in The Captive's War trilogy. The novel is set in a distant future where humanity, on the planet Anjiin, faces invasion and enslavement by the alien race Carryx. The best humans are then taken to the Carryx's home world, where they are forced to join a deadly competition.

If you get a chance, pick up a copy at your local library or wherever you get books, read ahead, and come prepared to discuss in our awesome taproom… or just come to chat about sci-fi, reading, or other stuff and make some new friends!

Don’t forget to order some fresh, local sake at the bar to whet your whistle while you talk.
