F.A.Q.

  • We are New England’s only sake brewery + taproom. Sake is brewed using grain (rice), so we are a brewery! We only serve what we make; so we serve fresh, delicious sake! We do not have beer.

  • You can join us in our Medfield taproom to try everything we make—production batches and tasty experiments.

Beyond the taproom, seek out ske in escape pods [single-serve glass bottles]. Find us out in the galaxy [Massachusetts and Rhode Island] at these satellite locations, and ask your favorite spots to contact us so they can carry our sake, too!

  • Nope! Our taproom is family-friendly. We have non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and coloring sheets. Our ADA-compliant restrooms include changing stations.

  • We’re always changing up what’s on-tap. Check out the current offerings here.

  • We have packaged snacks—Japanese and other unique items—at the bar and in our vending machine. We sometimes have amazing chefs and businesses popping-up in our taproom. See what’s happening on social media and on our events page.

If you’d like something more substantial than our awesome snacks—and we’re not having a pop-up—you’re welcome to BYOFood.

  • Yes! We have a limited number of picnic tables outside. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. You’re welcome to sit outside to drink sake; due to alcohol regulations, you may not venture beyond our yellow fencing with your sake.

  • Our taproom space welcomes human guests only. The energy level and acoustics aren’t conducive to canine comfort. Your dog may join you— leashed—in the outside seating area.

  • Absolutely! Sake is made of water+yeast+koji+rice. Sake is for you!

  • We serve both namazake (unpasteurized sake) and pasteurized sake. Your take-home 12-oz. can growler should be kept refrigerated and will last longer than your self-restraint (a month or more for traditional or spiced sake; a couple of weeks for fruited sake).

  • You bet! While informal, smaller groups are welcome to come into the taproom anytime without reservations, larger groups should consider reserving the taproom just for their own use. Check out all the info about private events.
