On the first Thursday of every month, we partner with Medfield Public Library to host a sci-fi book club.

The Forever War by Joe Haldeman (1974)

The Forever War is a military science fiction novel that tells the contemplative story of human soldiers fighting an interstellar war against an alien civilization known as the Taurans. A physics student is drafted into the war, where he is in combat for a few years. However, due to time dilation caused by near-light speed travel, earth had aged centuries while he was away. 

If you get a chance, pick up a copy at your local library or wherever you get books, read ahead, and come prepared to discuss in our awesome taproom… or just come to chat about sci-fi, reading, or other stuff and make some new friends!

Don’t forget to order some fresh, local sake at the bar to whet your whistle while you talk.
